December 2011

Monday, 5 December 2011: ADHD Action Campaign for Cambridge & Peterborough

The recent Cambridgeshire Clinical Priorities Forum (also covering the Peterborough area) released a report raising concerns about prescribing ADHD medication to foreign students and presents these as insurmountable. Rather than find a solution that will benefit patients, the report is being used as a rationale to deny prescriptions to local ADHD sufferers diagnosed in adulthood.

There will be a public meeting to discuss the needs of adults with ADHD in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and to raise awareness of this issue.

The meeting will be held on Monday, 5th December from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Friends’ Meeting House, 91/93 Hartington Grove, Cambridge, CB1 7UB

We urge anyone who is affected by this to attend the meeting! More information is available here.

And here is a copy of the briefing paper prepared by the Cambridgeshire Clinical Priorities Forum called “Briefing Paper on a Proposal for a Low Priority Policy for Treatment of Adults with Methylphenidate, Atomoxetine and Dexamfetamine for ADHD or Similar Conditions.”
